What Is the Quran Memorisation (Hifz) Course?
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari). To memorise the Quran — to become a Hafiz or Hafiza — is one of the greatest honours a Muslim can achieve. It is a journey of dedication, discipline, and deep spiritual connection with the words of Allah ﷻ.
At Iqra Quran Class, we understand that for UK families, embarking on the Hifz journey can feel daunting. Busy school timetables, homework, work commitments, and the demands of daily British life can make consistent memorisation feel almost impossible without the right structure and support.
- Structured daily new lesson (Sabaq) and revision (Dhor) system
- Complete one-to-one sessions — your teacher's full focus on you
- Correct Tajweed maintained throughout every memorised verse
- Personalised memorisation plan tailored to your pace and capacity
- Regular Sabaq Para (recent pages) and old revision (Manzil) sessions
- Suitable for children from age 5 and adult learners of all levels
Our Proven 3-Part Daily Hifz System
Sabaq (New Lesson)
Each session begins with your new memorisation, a carefully measured portion of verses your teacher introduces, recites, and then listens to you repeat until it is comfortably retained. The amount is always tailored to your individual capacity — never too much to overwhelm, never too little to stall progress.
Sabaq Para (Recent Revision)
Immediately after new memorisation, your teacher revisits the pages you have learned most recently. This critical step strengthens fresh memorisation before it can fade, turning short-term memory into solid, reliable retention.
Manzil (Old Revision)
The final part of every session returns to older memorised portions, ensuring that what you learned weeks or months ago remains as sharp as the day you first learned it. This is what separates lifelong Hifz from temporary memorisation.
Why Trust Iqra Quran Class for Hifz
One-to-One Dedicated Hifz Teacher
Your child is never just one face in a group. Every session is private, personal, and entirely focused on your child's memorisation alone. Your teacher listens to every single verse, corrects every mistake on the spot, and builds a genuine bond that keeps your child motivated throughout the journey.
Structured Daily Revision — The Key to Lasting Hifz
Memorisation without daily revision is memorisation that fades. Our programme is built around a rigorous but manageable three-part revision system — new lesson, recent pages, and older revision — so every verse memorised stays memorised, for life.
Tajweed Accuracy Throughout
Many Hifz programmes focus purely on memorisation and neglect Tajweed. At Iqra Quran Class, correct pronunciation and Tajweed rules are never compromised. Your teacher ensures every memorised verse is recited exactly as the Quran was revealed — beautifully and accurately.
Personalised Pace: No Pressure, No Rush
Every student memorises differently. Some children progress quickly; others need more time and repetition. Our teachers never push — they adapt. Your personalised plan means you always progress at the speed that is right for you, without stress or discouragement.
